What data we process and why

  • Managing your booking and stay: name, contact details, dates, number of guests and payment details. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Guest registration: travellers' identity details, which the law requires us to record and report to the authorities. Legal basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR and Spanish Royal Decree 933/2021).
  • Invoicing and tax obligations: legal basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Enquiries you send us: legal basis: your request and, where applicable, steps taken prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

How long we keep it

For the duration of the contractual relationship and, afterwards, for the periods required by law (in particular for guest registration and tax purposes) and until any potential liabilities expire.

Recipients

Service providers acting with appropriate safeguards: the booking and website management system, payment gateways and web hosting services. We report guest registration data to the competent authorities and tax data to the Spanish Tax Agency where required by law. We never sell or share your data for marketing purposes.

International transfers

If any provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, it will do so on the basis of a European Commission adequacy decision, such as Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795 on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or of standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability by writing to reservas@costahomespain.com. If you believe your request has not been properly handled, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
